For example, in the field of leadership I was the advisory council representative in my ninth grade advisory. I would like to join the National Honor Society to participate in helping to make my community better. I believe I should join the National Honor Society because I believe I could contribute to the society. My adviseesââ¬â¢ and I went last year to a public school to read a childrenââ¬â¢s book that I made with a couple of my adviseesââ¬â¢ about morals in life. I have exceled in the fields of leadership, character, service and citizenship. Leadership is the position or function of a leader and a person who guides or directs a group. Character is the overall of features and traits that form the individual nature of a person or a thing. Service is an act of helpful activity and aid. Citizenship is behavior in the terms of the duties, obligations and functions of a citizen. I believe that I have exceled in the field of leadership. Leadership is the position or function of a leader and a person who guides or directs a group. My advisory voted anonymously for an advisory leader in ninth grade, and I became my advisory representative by getting the most votes. As the advisory representative I attended meetings and helped organize and plan for advisory. Another example for leadership is in the summer I was the head counselor for Fun in the Sun Summer Camp. My responsibilities as the head counselor was to make sure all counselors were doing everything they were supposed to do, and to run counselor meetings and I had my own group of kids to watch after. The final example of leadership is babysitting my momââ¬â¢s close friend Marina Dubinââ¬â¢s son. My dutiesââ¬â¢ for being his babysitter was to watch and take care of him while he was awake and asleep. I also needed to feed the child lunch and dinner and entertain him. I believe that I have exceled in the field of character. Character is the overall of features and traits that form the individual nature of a person or a thing. People who know me best say that I am creative, honest, intelligent and that I work well with others. The best way to find out about my character is to give me the opportunity of letting me become part of the National Honor Society. During summer camp the lights went out and the children were scared so I thought of games that the kids were playing and was designed to make them not scared no more. One day I found a wallet in school and I checked the I. D. and realized the student was from the same school as me, so I returned the wallet with all the money and cards in the wallet. In my classes when we are assigned in groups and another student needs help with the assignment, I am usually the one helping them with it and helping them understand how to do it. I believe that I have exceled in the field of service. Service is an act of helpful activity and aid. Hurricane Sandy destroyed one of my close friends home and I volunteered to go and help him clean up the destruction that Hurricane Sandy left behind. They were in my community so I went to their apartment and helped them clean their home. I believed it was my duty as a citizen of my community to help out the people who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Last year my advisees and I went to a public school to present and read-aloud a childrenââ¬â¢s book that my advisees and I made about morals in life. The final example of my service towards my community is babysitting my momââ¬â¢s close friend Marina Dubinââ¬â¢s son. This portrays service because it is done on the behalf of others and no compensation whatsoever was given. I believe that I have exceled in the field of citizenship. Citizenship is behavior in the terms of the duties, obligations and functions of a citizen. In my community there are Muay Thai classes held in Fight Factory Gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from six thirty p. m. through eight oââ¬â¢ clock p. m. I attend those classes every week and I am considered to be a trainee of Muay Thai. I will be having a fight in Manhattan around May or June and during that fight I will be representing Fight Factory Gym. That portrays community activities because it is an activity that I participate outside of school. In the future I will be assisting ninth grades write their own childrenââ¬â¢s books about morals in life. I have done the same thing last year and I will give them advice on what to do based on my experiences from when I did it. This portrays community activities because it is an activity that I will participate in school. As you can see, I will be a good addition to the National Honor Society. Leadership is a huge aspect of my life and is a field I will always commit to. My character makes me who I am today and I am proud of myself. Service is a big part of me and makes up the person who I am today. I am a citizen and I believe that I have certain duties to follow as a citizen.
